Here are some pictures of Cohen from the other night. He is really starting to smile and is only a month old! (on Tuesday) I have been meaning to post this story about his circumcison for awhile, but haven't found the time. But now I do so here it goes....
We went in last Thursday to his Pediatrican to have it done since they rarely do it in the hospital anymore. He did well considering what they were doing and came home and went to sleep. I changed him before he went down and it looked good. After he woke up from his nap he was fussy and not wanting to eat which is weird. So I changed him. Before I could even get his diaper off I could see the blood soaked through it. I took it off and it was full of blood and some clots. And his poor little boy parts had a HUGE blood filled looking tumor on it. I quickly called Tyler and told him he had to get home right away. I called his Dr and they had me coming in about 45 minutes. Tyler got home and we dropped Hailee off with a friend and off we went.
The Dr. came in and took off his diaper and had no idea what was wrong. Tyler says he doesn't like to see concern in a flight attendant or a Dr. And he was obviously concerned. he thought some blood might have been trapped underneath the foreskin area and had to drain it. It was so hard to watch. He was just screaming. There was blood everywhere. To make matters worse Tyler started blacking in and out and had to leave. It wasn't stopping so he left to call some urologists and they decided to take the ring off to see what had happened. Luckily he made us leave for this part. When we got back they figured out there was a cut on it under the ring that was causing it to bleed. We had to sit there for awhile and put pressure on it and see if it stopped bleeding. If it didn't we would have to go to the hospital. Luckily it did and they sent us home. We have been back for 2 follow-up appointments and everything looks really good. They were worried we would have to go to a urologist and see if there was something else that needed to be done. So far so good though. But it was the scariest thing I have been through with a child so far. It was so sad to see a 3 week old baby go through that. But he has done well and is so good.
But seriously. This has been a crazy month with my labor and this! Did I mention the first moring in the hospital they brought me the wrong baby? Thankfully they checked the bands. Because I was still a little out of it and might not have noticed!

Aubree! I was cringing through that post. Poor Cohen and poor you and Tyler. That is soooo scary and so sad to see your little one in pain. I hope everything is well now. Glad they got the mix-up sorted out too!
This is the most horrifying story EVER... hope little Cohen is okay... and that he FOR SURE won't remember any of it. I LOVE his little football shirt. Cute little family... hey! Now it is "the Berry Four!!"
