Cohen has not been himself the past few weeks. He has been waking up at night, sometimes every 2 hours and just being fussy. He is a very good baby and usually sleeps great! I was beginning to get really frustrated and stressed. Well, today was his 4 month check-up. He has been losing weight. At 3 months I took him in for an ear-check and he was 12lbs 10 oz. Today at 4 1/2 months he was 12 lbs 4 oz. This is not good. He should be way way bigger!! They said small is fine but he needs to be growing! I knew he seemed too small! He was in the 3rd precentile for his weight! I feel so horrible!!! I also had a feeling my milk supply was down. I never feel full and also have lost over 10 pounds in the last month due to the flu and other stomach issues. So the Dr. said I need to give him a bottle after every feeding during the day. So when I got home I fed him and gave him 4 oz. He sucked it down!!! Another horrible part was that he was not pooping for like 8 days and he finally did. The Dr. said he was probably a little dehydrated! How did I not know!? I am glad I took him because if he was not sleeping well by the weekend he was going to be going through some sleep training! I am so horrible!!
So for now I am doing the bottle thing. Hopefully my supply will go back up or this may be the beginning of the end for us. And that I have mixed feelings about....

OH COHEN!!! I would have never thought that he was small. Poor kid. I know what you mean about mixed feelings about BF. some times I wish I would have stuck with it, but oh well. I'm hope Choen gets to feeling better!! (Oh and I hope you get some sanity!)
Poor kiddo. Poor Momma. Being sick is no fun! Being in the third percentile is no fun! (Unless it is you and you are done breast-feeding... ha ha)
I'm so sorry! It is so hard to tell with these little ones what is wrong. I wish they would just speak up instead of just crying. I feel the same way this time- not full all the time, but Breckon seems to be getting bigger just fine. I would never know I had a problem. Good luck!
Poor Cohen. But you couldn't have known. Don't feel bad. At least you figured out his problem. Is he sleeping better now?
