This weekend was pretty uneventful. It was the first weekend in a long time where we have not had major plans or been gone. We needed it though. The babies room was full of piles of baby clothes, bedding, and crib parts, as well as misc stuff that didn't have a home. So Saturday morning was set aside for getting that room in order. I washed his clothes and blankets while Tyler put together the crib and new dresser. We made progress, but it is still not done. But the good news is that I can do the rest. The heavy stuff is over, the rest is just getting it put together. While we were doing this Hailee smashed her finger in the garage door and it was pretty traumatic for her. She cried for awhile and then I put her on my bed to watch Dora and she fell asleep and this was at 10:30 in the morning! Poor thing. I did have to wake her up to take her to a birthday party which was really fun for her. Tyler was leaving at 2 to go to a temple trip for the youth, he had spent the past week organizing adults, kids, rides, ect and was looking foward to it. So he gets all showered and ready and goes to his planner to get the recommend out and realized it had expired about 2 weeks ago! Whoops! So he gave rides to the boys who needed them and game home. He was looking forward to it, so he was kinda bummed. Later that night we just rented a movie and got take-out. Yesterday was church which was fine except that Hailee yelled out that she had to poop in the middle of the meeting. She didn't by the way, she just wanted to leave and go to the nursery.
Another issue I have been having is getting Hailee to nap and not wake up so early. She used to take at least a 2 hour nap, go to bed around 8-8:30 depending on the nap and get up around 7:30 ish. Nice I know. Now she naps like 3 times a week with a huge fight for less than 2 hours, goes to bed around 730-8 and gets up between 6 and 6:30. Waaaaaay too early for me. Luckily Tyler will get up and get her breakfast and all that so I get like 20 extra minutes. I think she still needs a nap because she gets really mean around 4-5 and just acts tired. If anyone here knows me well, they know that I am a sleep nazi. Meaning I have always been strict on earlier bedtimes, naptimes, sleeping in our own beds, ect and get really stressed when Hailee does not sleep as planned. But have gotten better as she has gotten older. I know I need to learn to roll with it, but I just wish if anything she would sleep later. Oh and I have tried putting her to bed later, it doesn't work. Maybe I am freaking out because this baby is coming soon and I will need as much rest as possible and Hailee is not letting that happen. At least she still has her quiet time in her room even if she doesn't sleep. As a read this back it doesn't seem so bad, but has thown a wrench into my life the past few weeks.
Well I better end this novel. I have tons to do this week. Finish the babies room, clean, laundry, park days, my baby shower that my mom and hopefully Toni are coming for, Drs appt, Tyler's mutual Wed, Tyler's football game, work, buy a bookshelf, the list goes on. And it is 94 here today and same tomorrow so I am sure that we will go to the pool one day as well. I will post pictures of the finished room soon and some of Hailee too. :)

Sleeping problems stress me out too! Before having a child, I never realized the stress a non-sleeping baby brings. Do you guys have a name for the baby boy yet? Hailee is hilarious!
Good for you for being a sleep Nazi...keep up the nap as LONG as you can!! When that doesn't work- keep "quiet time" where she still has to play quietly in her room. This will be your salvation when boy baby Berry comes!
Oh boy..do you have your hands full or what? I am so happy for your new lil guy to arrive!! Any name ideas? Miss you! Laura
I don't blame you! My kids started waking up before 7 once we moved out of our apartment. Now they are almost always waking up after 7. I can handle anything after 7 a.m. It's so frustrating when they get out of their routines. Especially when you have a baby coming. Just keep forcing it, I'm sure she still needs it and will get back on track.
You sound like me. Trying to get as much done as you can before the baby. I don't feel ready yet. Maybe I will when we get into the house. I think my life is about to get CRAZY!
Gosh! Time flies! It probably doesnt feel like it to you, though!! I cant believe its almost time to have your baby! Hailee sounds like a lot of fun! Good thing Tyler is such a great husband!!
