Just wanted to blog about a fun Laurel Activity I planned last night. We had a short spiritual thought about sculpting our lives and getting rid of things we don't need to be the person we are intended to be. This led into Ice Cream Sculptures. I supplied each team with a carton of vanilla ice cream, tons of candy, spray frosting, and gloves. They had to plan a sculpture and create it. Here are what some of them did:
One is a peace sign (kinda looks like a pig nose) and one is a shoe. The girls seemed to have fun and so did we. We ended by talking about how they had to make the creation they had thought of and how that can be like our lifes. Sometimes it takes a little sculpting to become the person we want to be. And then we ended with this handout( I took it from a YW blog):
It ended up being a really fun night! I really love my calling!

That sounds like a fun activity! Very creative!
I know...I remember when Hailee and Halle were both babies when we lived there. How time flies!
So how's the ward? Has it changed a lot since we left?
